Saffron has a wide range of scientifically proven medicinal and healing properties. The carotenoids contained in saffron, which the human body converts into vitamin A, have been known to medical science for a long time. Carotenoids play an important role in maintaining the immune system and protect against infectious diseases.

Saffron has pain-relieving properties and is also effective in the case of “psychological pain”; no wonder, because the purple saffron flower has a direct connection to the energetic meaning of this color. Purple is a soothing color and is associated with the epiphysis. This gland controls everything related to hormones. It is therefore not surprising that saffron is used as a remedy for epileptic seizures and as a heart tonic. Furthermore, saffron is suitable for strengthening the stomach and against loss of appetite. The liver also benefits from the consumption of saffron, mainly because of the slight bitter substances.
