And now a little more information about the other ingredients you can use to top it all off:
Melissa: Melissa is one of the herbs that can be used in folk medicine for almost all types of ailments. Melissa has an antispasmodic, calming, antibacterial and antiviral effect. This medicinal plant is used wherever rhythmic processes are disturbed, such as for heart complaints, gastrointestinal disorders, menstrual cramps, sleep disorders, restlessness, headaches, depression and colds.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon can lower blood sugar levels and thus help to treat diabetes. It also promotes blood circulation and relieves bloating, gas and cramps in the digestive tract. Cinnamon stimulates intestinal activity and has a disinfecting effect.

Honey: Hippocrates, probably the most famous doctor of antiquity, knew of two of its most important properties: it was excellent for healing wounds and effective for inflammation and lowering fever. Honey water was also used as a “doping agent”: this potion improved the performance of athletes at the ancient Olympic Games!
Did you know that about 60 types of bacteria, including dangerous bacteria such as staphylococcus aureus, can be killed with honey... and that honey was used very successfully to heal wounds in ancient Egypt?

A brief reminder: drinks with honey must not be too hot, as honey loses its healing properties at just 40 degrees! That's why I recommend adding the honey to the apple tea after about an hour and a half.
And one more thing, before I forget: don't use metal spoons... because metal affects the taste whether you like it or not and can even reduce the quality. It has been proven that when honey comes into contact with metal, it can trigger chemical reactions that are not necessarily desirable. A classic wooden honey spoon would be cool ;-)
